The quick response (QR) code was developed in 1994 by the Japanese company Denso Wave (developers: Masahiro Hara, Takayuki Nagaya, Motoaki Watabe, Tadao Nojiri and Yuji Uchiyama). It was originally created to mark assemblies and components for the logistics industry. Over the years, it has become a public standard and is used on websites as well as print media, among other things. In this article, some of the display possibilities will be covered.

The following examples are locally and not externally generated dummy QR codes, these are for illustration purposes only. The QR codes can be customized in size and color according to your own needs and preferences. For a successful Skype or WhatsApp connection it would be advantageous to have accounts with the respective providers, otherwise an error message may occur.
